Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services for Squareme, FundR, and special projects.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Build and integrate third-party APIs and internal microservices.
- Work closely with frontend and product teams to ensure smooth API communication.
- Improve system security, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a production environment.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (NestJS or Express.js preferred).
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
- Understanding of RESTful API development, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Docker, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
- Experience with Git, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or financial transaction systems.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached, etc.).
- Passion for fintech and financial technology solutions.
- Strong ownership mentality with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and ability to explain complex technical concepts.
- Work on mission-critical fintech projects impacting millions of users.
