Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving user and revenue growth, executing strategic sales plans, and enhancing our market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the fintech sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's goals for user growth and revenue expansion.
  • Lead and scale the sales team to achieve targets, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment on product offerings, positioning, and promotional strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to recommend improvements or new products.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry players, including partners and customers, to enhance business growth and the company's market position.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to the senior management team, highlighting progress against goals and actionable insights.
  • Manage the sales budget efficiently, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network, promote the company, and stay updated on market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field. (An MBA is preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of sales experience in the fintech or financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the African financial services market and regulatory environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
