Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with a minimum of four (4) years of cognate experience in complex construction and structural works, particularly in managing multiple building construction projects comprising several units. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, project leadership skills, and a meticulous approach to quality, safety, and compliance.

This role is critical to ensuring that all building projects are executed to the highest standards, from foundation to finishing, across multiple sites, while maintaining diligent attention to detail and adherence to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple building construction projects involving several residential or commercial units.

• Supervise all phases of structural and civil works including site preparation, foundation, superstructure, roofing, finishes, and external works.

• Interpret and implement structural, architectural, and engineering drawings with precision and technical accuracy.

• Monitor project progress across sites, ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

• Manage site teams, subcontractors, artisans, and vendors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality control, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

• Prepare and review work schedules, materials usage plans, and method statements.

• Conduct regular quality inspections and site audits to identify and resolve construction issues promptly.

• Track material usage and labor deployment, minimizing waste and ensuring accountability.

• Coordinate with internal teams (architects, MEP engineers, project managers) and external stakeholders to streamline project delivery.

• Prepare accurate reports, site documentation, and project updates for management.

• Uphold a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement on all construction sites.

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years practical, hands-on experience in building construction and structural engineering.

• Proven ability to manage and execute multiple construction projects comprising multiple units.

• Deep understanding of modern construction methods, structural systems, and building materials.

• High attention to detail, with a proactive approach to quality control and technical precision.

• Proficient in construction software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, MS Project, etc.).

• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines across multiple projects.

• COREN registration or membership of a recognized engineering body is an added advantage.
