We connect culture, commerce, and community through curated pop-ups, workshops, networking events, digital resources , and storytelling that puts creators and small brands at the center

We’re on a mission to elevate authentic African lifestyle brands and help them grow with intention—and we’re looking for a creative, strategic, and self-driven Content Strategist & Manager to lead our content efforts across platforms

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a consistent, authentic, and high-quality content strategy that supports our events, celebrates our community, and strengthens our brand presence. This is a hybrid role that blends big-picture storytelling strategy with hands-on content creation and publishing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy & Plannin

g

  • Develop and implement a clear content strategy aligned with brand goals, voice, and calenda
  • rCraft and refine content pillars (e.g., event promotion, brand storytelling, founder highlights, educational tips, cultural inspiration, etc.
  • )Create monthly content plans for events, campaigns, initiatives, newsletters, and the Pop of Culture blo
  • gCollaborate with the Creative Director to ensure content supports key launches, campaigns, and brand partnership
  • sCollaborate with social media manager to ensure that content for campaigns, initiatives and event promotion are streamlined.

Execution & Managemen

t

  • Help write, edit, and publish engaging content (newsletters, blog posts, etc.
  • )Oversee day-to-day management of our content calendar and scheduling (this does not apply to social media
  • )Source, curate, and coordinate visuals and assets (in-house or via photographer/videographer
  • )Monitor content performance, engagement, and reach across platforms; suggest optimization
  • sRepurpose event content into social snippets, testimonials, and case studie
  • sOther related tasks


Storytelling & Communit

y

  • Spotlight vendors and founders through authentic storytelling (interviews, profiles, features
  • )Create content that fosters connection and value within our brand communit
  • yCapture behind-the-scenes content and coordinate with media teams at event
  • sHelp craft compelling narratives for partnerships and brand awarenes
  • sOther related tasks

This is a FULL-TIME hybrid role.


WHO YOU AR

E


You’re both a storyteller and a tactician—equally comfortable creating content and analyzing its performance. You understand the full content lifecycle, from idea to impact, and bring a mix of creativity, organization, and execution to the table

.


You have

:


•At least 2 full years of experience in content creation or content strategy with brands or agencies and have a portfolio to show for it.

  • •Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, especially for digital platform

  • •Technical proficiency in
  • :Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Zoho Campaigns
  • )Content planning and project management tools (e.g., Notion, Asana, etc.
  • )Graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express
  • )Intermediate video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush, or Canva Video
  • )Analytics platforms (e.g., Instagram Insights, Meta Analytics, Google Analytics
  • )Creating detailed spreadsheets and presentations

•Understanding of SEO basics, keyword research, and content optimizatio

n•Experience managing multi-channel content calendars

•Ability to conduct and synthesize interviews into high quality written or visual feature

s•Highly resourceful, creative, and determined to bring content ideas to life using creative solutions

•A good eye for design, social trends, and culturally relevant storytellin

g•Able to cross collaborate with other team members

•Passion for small businesses, creative culture, and telling impactful African storie

COMPENSATION & PERK

The starting salary for this role is ₦200,000/month (monthly). This is non-negotiable at this time.
