Date: 1 week ago
City: Lagos, Lagos
Contract type: Full time

Fat Beehive is looking for a smart, hands-on Analytics Engineer to help us track how users interact with our websites and campaigns—and turn that data into clear, useful insights for our team and our clients.

As Fat Beehive’s Analytics Engineer, you’ll work across tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta pixels, Hotjar, and A/B testing platforms to make sure we’re collecting the right data. You’ll also help create simple, effective dashboards that show how a site or campaign is performing.

You’ll be great at spotting what should be tracked, setting it up yourself when needed (often via GTM), or giving clear instructions to developers. A strong understanding of ecommerce tracking and user journeys is key.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will be a key player across the agency in delivering technical knowledge about all facets of web analytics, and how it can help our clients measure their work and guide them in better decisions.

What you’ll do:
  • Set up and manage tools like GA4, GTM, and marketing pixels (Meta, etc.)
  • Track key user actions—clicks, purchases, signups, scroll depth, and more
  • Build easy-to-use dashboards showing results by client or campaign
  • Help run or support A/B testing
  • Work closely with strategists, designers, and developers to make sure data is accurate and useful

What you bring:
  • Strong hands-on experience with GA4 and GTM
  • Familiar with marketing pixels, Hotjar, A/B testing tools, and ecommerce tracking
  • Confident implementing tracking codes or explaining it clearly to developers
  • Experience working on websites or digital projects
  • A clear and practical communication style—especially when explaining data
  • A working knowledge of modern web technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, etc
  • Excellent communication skills with an experience of client-facing work
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
