Sales and Marketing Representative

Role Description

  • This is a part-time on-site role for a Sales and Marketing Representative located in Lekki. The Sales and Marketing Representative will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, conducting market research, and identifying potential clients. Daily tasks include client engagement, managing customer inquiries, providing exceptional customer service, and conducting training sessions for clients on product usage. Additionally, this role involves coordinating with the marketing team to enhance brand presence and drive sales growth.

The Sales Representative Will Be Responsible For

  • Assisting walk-in customers at our Banex Mall store with product inquiries and purchases
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries on WhatsApp during assigned remote shifts
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets through excellent customer service and product knowledge
  • Maintaining an attractive and organized store environment to enhance the customer experience
  • Supporting inventory management and product displays as needed
  • Leveraging social media platforms and WhatsApp to engage customers, generate leads, and promote the African Things brand
  • Collaborating with the team to provide feedback and ideas for improving sales and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
  • Comfortable engaging customers both in person and via WhatsApp messaging
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and how to use them for customer engagement and brand building is highly desirable
  • Goal-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in sales
  • Ability to work on-site three days per week and manage remote WhatsApp duties daily
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in corporate gifting or related industries is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
