Job Title: Digital Marketer (Startup Cake & Catering Business) 

Location: Lagos (Remote/On-site as applicable) 

Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract

Salary & Incentives: This role offers a competitive salary. Total Potential Monthly Earnings: Up to ₦300,000 (₦70,000 base + ₦130,000 commission + ₦100,000 bonus)


About Us: 

We are a growing startup specializing in premium cakes, wedding cakes, and corporate catering services in Nigeria. Our mission is to delight customers with high-quality products and build long-term relationships through innovative marketing and exceptional service. 


Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Acquisition & Lead Generation:

- Develop and implement strategies to onboard 10-15 new corporate customers monthly. 

- Drive online campaigns to reach and convert potential customers, aiming for a consistent increase in customer base.

- Manage email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and promotional offers.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth:

- Promote cake offerings to meet monthly sales targets of 500 boxes. 

- Promote wedding or 3 to 4 tiers cake offerings to meet monthly sales targets of 4 orders. 

- Encourage repeat orders and build a loyal customer base.

- Run targeted paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Tik Tok etc.

3. Content Creation & Management: 

- Create engaging content (social media, website, emails, and other digital channels) showcasing our products and customer stories. 

 - Manage and grow social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) to increase brand awareness.


4. Customer Engagement & Planning:

- Build relationships with 15- 20 individuals per month sharing their event calendar and cake purchase plans and follow up to convert plans into orders. 

- Implement email marketing and other communication strategies for ongoing engagement.


5. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

- Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to refine marketing tactics.

- Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility.


6. Performance Tracking & Reporting:

- Regularly track KPIs such as customer onboarding, conversion rates, sales volume, and engagement metrics. 

- Prepare monthly reports to assess progress and adjust strategies accordingly.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).

·       Strong understanding of content creation, branding, and online advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads). 

·       Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills. 

  • Creativity and ability to develop engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
  • Basic graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.

·       Proactive, creative, and self-motivated with a passion for building brands and the ability to work independently in a startup environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of SSCE or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working with startups or small businesses.
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
