Finance & Audit Associate

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Finance and Audit Associate to join our dynamic real estate and construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, internal audits, compliance checks, and supporting investment and asset performance reviews. You will help ensure the financial integrity of the company’s real estate and construction operations while identifying opportunities to improve controls and financial performance.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

• Preparing Financial Statements: Creating balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for real estate and construction entities. 
• Maintaining Accounting Records: Keeping accurate records of property transactions and financial activity. 
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets, and forecasting future financial performance. 
• Reconciling Accounts: Ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable. 
• End to end procurement accounting tracking and monitoring
• Inventory use and stock reconciliation and monitoring
• Tax Compliance: Calculating and preparing tax returns. 
• Monitoring Financial Health: Analyzing financial performance and providing insights into the company's financial health and liquidity. 

Audit & Compliance:

• Auditing Financial Transactions: Reviewing financial documents and transactions for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. 
• Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to IFRS and real estate accounting standards. 
• Internal Controls: Developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy. 
• Liaising with External Auditors: Working with external auditors to facilitate audits. 
• Data Security: Reinforcing data confidentiality and conducting database backups.
• End to end inventory audit and reconciliation
• Periodic audit reports
• Designing and troubleshooting existing audit templates and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ICAN Certified
• 2–4 years of experience in finance/audit roles in construction and real estate.
• Strong knowledge of construction and real estate finance, taxation, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in finance and ERP softwares (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP,Odoo, Excel)
• Understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks.Construction Accounting and Audit experience
• Construction Inventory reconciliation experience
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
