Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic assessments.
- Provide accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
- Collaborate with specialists and consultants in the management of complex or referred cases.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, ensure detailed medical documentation, and communicate clearly with patients and their families.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and case discussions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform resuscitation and emergency care procedures as needed.
- Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with internal hospital policies and national healthcare regulations.
- Engage in Continuous Medical Education (CME) and professional development initiatives.
- Offer support and mentorship to junior doctors and interns where applicable.
- Perform additional clinical duties as assigned by supervising consultants or management.
- MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are an added advantage.
- Sound clinical judgment and excellent decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient welfare.
