Our client is a renowned Nigerian fashion and retail conglomerate with a flagship premium children's clothing line and an expanding garment manufacturing arm. With retail operations spanning 12 locations and a growing digital presence, they are seeking a visionary Head of Information Technology to lead the design and execution of a high-impact tech strategy across apparel production, store operations, and back-office systems.

Your Responsibilities...

IT Strategy & Infrastructure Management

• You will design and execute a robust IT roadmap aligned with business goals across the entire organisation from production lines to physical stores.
• You will oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, and databases).
• You will identify and implement emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  
  

Systems Integration & Operations Optimisation

• You will lead the integration and optimisation of ERP, CRM, POS, and BI systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system compatibility.
• You will support cross-functional teams to align systems with evolving business processes and growth priorities.
  
  

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• You will implement and enforce data protection protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• You will proactively monitor and mitigate IT risks, while safeguarding sensitive internal and customer data.
  
  

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• You will manage relationships with technology vendors and external service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met.
• You will evaluate new tools, negotiate tech contracts, and deliver cost-effective IT solutions.
  
  

Leadership & People Development

• You will lead and grow a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• You will provide hands-on support and mentoring to ensure continuous development and strong internal capabilities.
  
  

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• You will monitor and report on IT performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations to the executive team.
• You will lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT issues that may disrupt operations.
  
  

To be considered, you should have...

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), ERP/POS systems (e.g., Odoo), and network infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, systems integration, and IT governance
• Strong people management, project leadership, and vendor negotiation skills
• Ability to diagnose complex IT challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and ability to write SQL queries (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Python and general programming concepts (nice to have)
