The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction of the IT department. This role partners with business leaders across the enterprise to define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with organizational goals. The Director ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
This individual will oversee the development and management of departmental application portfolios, ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and maintain robust security practices in line with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

The Director ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
This individual will oversee the development and management of departmental application portfolios, ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and maintain robust security practices in line with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement a comprehensive enterprise technology strategy.
- Develop 13 year strategic plans for technology acquisition and deployment.
- Identify innovative opportunities and align IT roadmaps with business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology trends and opportunities.
- Establish a high-performing IT service delivery framework, including help desk operations.
- Oversee application release management, system stability, and project delivery.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage decentralized IT operations, including resource planning and project execution.
- Evaluate and enhance IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Lead solution reviews and technology assessments for new initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of IT systems with business processes and security requirements.
- Oversee end-user support services and technical assistance.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, including security, disaster recovery, and user standards.
- Maintain documentation such as IT policies, FDICIA records, and disaster recovery plans.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
- Develop and manage the IT department budget in alignment with corporate goals.
- Review system performance and recommend upgrades or cost-saving measures.
- Oversee procurement of hardware and software, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Build and lead a team of skilled technologists.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate IT staff to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Promote collaboration across departments to meet technology needs effectively.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience with 10+ years in Microsoft technology environments.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in IT leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and security.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management, virtualization, networking, and database technologies.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, NAC, Conditional Access, and firewalls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead teams, and deliver complex projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
