Full Stack Tech Lead

Your Responsibilities...

• Legacy Code Refactoring: You will lead efforts to refactor legacy codebases, improving observability, maintainability, and efficiency.
• System Optimization: You will identify and address cross-cutting concerns, driving solutions to reduce costs, increase reliability, or enhance performance.
• Collaborative Solution Building: You will work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to develop well-architected solutions that drive revenue growth, cost savings, or operational efficiency.
• API Development & Integration: You will lead initiatives around developing and integrating APIs with Nigerian payment and settlement systems, including cards, wallets, and NIBSS (Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System).
• Testing & Quality Assurance: You will improve and maintain comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure robust software delivery.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: You will oversee deployments and monitor application performance in cloud environments like GCP and AWS, ensuring seamless operation.
• Best Practice Advocacy: You will implement and enforce best coding practices, including CI/CD and TDD.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: You will mentor junior and mid-level developers, encouraging continuous learning and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Security & Compliance: You will ensure system and public APIs are secure and compliant, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Has...

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience with a proven record of leading teams.
• Technical Proficiency in NestJS, Typescript, React, Docker, Redis, MySQL, GCP, and AWS.
• Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration.
• Expertise in Git and GitHub workflows, alongside DevOps best practices.
• Proven experience in leading teams in a fast-paced fintech environment, particularly within the Nigerian financial ecosystem. Capable of identifying critical issues and driving solutions with minimal oversight.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial systems, including payments, cards, wallets, and NIBSS integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills, with the ability to refine MVP codebases to production standards.
• Background in financial security, compliance, and audit-ready solutions.
• Prior experience in developing and scaling financial or lending platforms.
