Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse will provide high-quality and compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with our Hospitals standards and regulatory guidelines. The role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing individualized care plans, and working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing clinical procedures.
  • Observe, assess, and document patients' conditions and report any significant changes to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Assist in preparing patients for medical procedures and supporting them during recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards at all times.
  • Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in line with hospital protocols.
  • Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Adhere strictly to safety, ethical, and professional standards of nursing practice.


Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Minimum of 13 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems is an added advantage.
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.
