Project Details

You'll be joining a multi-year platform initiative powering dozens of artist websites for a global music company. The work includes implementing a white-labeled UI system, supporting a global rollout, and enabling real-time visual content editing across a range of use cases from ecommerce to tour listings and discographies.


How we work

We are a small and efficient remote team, currently consisting of nine members, with team members located in New York, San Francisco, and the United Kingdom. We manage our repositories on GitHub and utilize Jira for ticket and sprint management.


Who we are looking for

We're hiring a UX Design Engineer to join our team for a high-profile headless Shopify build for a large publicly traded music company. You'll help develop a reusable component library and visual theming system that powers artist websites blending content and commerce into one seamless fan experience.


This role is perfect for a frontend developer who cares deeply about design. You'll work across product, design, and engineering teams to implement accessible, responsive UI with pixel precision and performance in mind.


Role & Responsibilities

Design robust, themeable, and flexible UI from scratch

Design for reuse across multiple artist sites

Design modular Figma component library

Create components easily exported and shared

Ensure interfaces meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards

Participate in design reviews

Occasional in-person meetings (for NYC-based team members)


Requirements

4+ years experience in UX design

Proficiency in Figma (required)

Strong portfolio and live work examples

Knowledge of accessibility principles and WCAG implementation

Strong attention to detail and pixel-perfect implementation skills

Experience on large scale ecommerce projects


Bonus Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and design token systems

StoryBook experience

Experience with Git workflows and modern development practices

Experience with Sanity CMS or managing theming systems at scale

TypeScript / React experience
