Sales Support Professional at Siemens Energy

Siemens Energy is looking for candidates in the oil & gas and energy sectors who possess an engineering background in rotating equipment and a proficient understanding of rotating equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for overseeing the total maintenance and service process for our customers’ rotating equipment, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Reciprocating Compressors. This involves conducting inspections and repairs, managing spare parts, and implementing modernizations and upgrades of aged fleets to drive efficiency improvements and energy conservation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with client-facing, commercial, and technical teams, suppliers, customers, and the Product Competence Centre to prepare and send quotes for spare parts and service projects.
  • Prepare detailed calculation sheets to support accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Achieve quotation lead time and other quality targets to meet client expectations.
  • Cross-check customer purchase orders against quotations and liaise with the commercial department for entry and approval in SAP and other systems.
  • Maintain and update order and machine history data in Salesforce and other systems, in conjunction with product competence centres.
  • Conduct regular planning and coordination meetings with suppliers, PCCs, and customers to manage expectations and ensure seamless operations.
  • Actively manage customer relationships, providing regular updates and maintaining clear communication.
  • Coordinate with the field service department and order management department to align parts delivery with labor availability.
  • Ensure achievement of order planned vs. actual dates and costs, along with other quality targets.

What You Bring

  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in sales within the oil & gas industry, ideally with rotating equipment providers.
  • In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment, including turbines and compressors, is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, supply chain management, and order management.
  • Great teammate with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and clients, demonstrating ownership of assigned duties.
  • Ability to interact with various collaborators, customers, partners, and team members from diverse cultural backgrounds, with experience collaborating with global clients.
  • Proficiency in understanding and driving the sales process through its phases.
  • Skilled in contract knowledge and cross-border transactions.
  • Capable of identifying long-term objectives for our customers, establishing clear and achievable goals, and anticipating customer reactions and behaviors.
  • Strong negotiation and resolution skills, with the ability to engage in tough discussions with customers.
  • Demonstrated passion for energy and rotating equipment, maintaining a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Dedication, motivation, persistence, and an attitude geared towards achieving goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and effective speech characteristics.
