Job Summary
- The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment including pumps, valves, compressors, engines, and gearboxes.
- The role requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform alignment of rotating equipment.
- Conduct lubrication and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Replace and install bearings.
- Monitor and analyze vibration levels for mechanical assets.
- Perform basic welding and pipe fitting tasks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and propose solutions.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Hands-on experience in alignment, lubrication, and bearing replacement.
- Proficiency in vibration monitoring and interpretation.
- Experience with basic welding and pipe fitting.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be physically fit and willing to travel to project locations within Nigeria.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as projects demand.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, pumps, valves, control panels, or lubrication systems.
- Experience working in oil & gas, manufacturing, or construction environments.
