About Geny

Geny is an AI-powered voice assistant and financial toolkit for tradespeople — beauty professionals, barbers, tailors, nail techs, chefs, and more. We help small businesses operate smarter with tools for payments, scheduling, customer tracking, and asset financing.

As we expand into Nigeria, we’re looking for a Head of Vendor Partnerships to lead and scale our marketplace of equipment vendors-everything from salon chairs and hair clippers to chef kits and esthetician machines. You will be building an entirely new business vertical from scratch, with national reach and commercial ownership.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

1. Lead Vendor Ecosystem Expansion

Recruit and close partnerships with equipment sellers and manufacturers across Nigeria — physical and digital vendors

Source and curate starter packs for trades businesses (e.g., barber kits, nail tech kits, facial spa setups)

2. Build the Business Unit

Design the vendor marketplace structure, incentives, onboarding flows, and commercial terms

Build internal processes for supplier onboarding, product uploads, quality assurance, and pricing integrity

Own growth KPIs for vendor acquisition, SKU volume, category coverage, and GMV

3. Drive Sales, Marketing & Outreach

Work with the growth and product teams to design campaigns that drive supplier sign-ups and order volume

Evangelize Geny to vendors across Nigeria — from Instagram sellers to large importers in Trade Fair Market

Represent Geny at trade fairs, industry events, and exhibitions across Lagos, Abuja, Aba, and Port Harcourt

4. Build and Lead a National Team

Recruit, train, and manage regional vendor scouts and city-level reps

Set up field operations (if needed) and build a distributed but tech-enabled supply acquisition team

You’re a Fit If You Have:

5–10 years experience in sales, partnerships, or vendor management

Proven success leading national teams and scaling business operations across Nigeria

Experience in trade-focused industries (beauty, food, wellness, electronics, manufacturing, etc.)

Deep understanding of both formal and informal markets

You’ve previously built or helped grow a marketplace, logistics, e-commerce, fintech, or supply chain startup

You are digitally literate, scrappy, ambitious, and able to work in fast-moving environments

Bonus: You’ve worked with last-mile sellers, vendors in Trade Fair, Alaba, Jabi, Ariaria, or online B2B platforms

What We Offer

A founding leadership role with autonomy to shape a national business unit

Competitive compensation + performance-based equity

Work with an international team of operators, designers, and engineers

Career growth into a country lead or C-level role as we scale in Africa
