Sales Engineer - IAT at Atlas Copco
As a Sales Engineer at Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique division, based in Lagos, Nigeria, you will play a vital role in promoting our cutting-edge equipment and solutions. This position not only focuses on sales, but also emphasizes building strong relationships with our customers, ensuring they receive the utmost value from our offerings.
Your Role
- Promote Atlas Copco equipment and its core values to the market.
- Engage in active discussions with customers to establish yourself as their trusted compressed air and gas equipment consultant.
- Follow up diligently with existing customers, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and commitment to service.
- Identify and develop potential customer bases to expand market reach.
- Establish and maintain a clear activity agenda that aligns with organizational goals.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals and quotations, ensuring pricing strategies lead to profitable sales.
- Promote Atlas Copco’s pricing strategy and premium product positioning.
- Utilize sales tools and databases to report on market activities, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Support sales initiatives by conducting site surveys and providing technical recommendations tailored to customer needs.
- Continuously upgrade your technical knowledge on our products, technologies, and applications.
- Assist in sales demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations to meet sales targets.
- Maintain regular communication with all customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to Atlas Copco.
- Provide valuable market information that aids in understanding our customer share within Nigeria.
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience, ideally within engineering, technical products, capital goods, or construction equipment sectors.
- Proficiency in CRM software along with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Desirable knowledge or application experience in compressed air solutions.
- A self-driven mindset, result-oriented approach, and a commitment to high quality and business profitability.
- A flexible communication style, with the confidence to adapt to ensure effectiveness.
- Reliability and determination are key traits.
- An empathetic communicator who understands the perspectives of others.
