This role revolves around generating revenue by effectively showcasing Gelose Distribunet product offerings to clients in the maritime , Construction, Oil & Gas sector, Petrochemical industry ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving the growth of company sales.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Sales Development:

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the maritime industry, including shipowners, shipyards, marine engineers, and maintenance teams.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base.
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales team for the sale of engineering products or services by expressing in depth knowledge of the intricacies, functionalities, and applications of products during prospects or client engagements.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive activities.


Sales Administration:

  • Monitor sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts in the CRM system.
  • Provide necessary support to the engineering sales officer and other departments procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products and services to clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Monitor customer feedback and market demand, identifying opportunities for new products, services, or market segments.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Provide personalized service and support to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their specific technical requirements and offering expert advice and technical assistance on product selection and application.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries by understanding their technical challenges and providing solutions through the company's products or services.


Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue target.
  • Proposal Development and Presentation:
  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of clients in contract bidding.
  • Effectively communicate the value propositions of the company's services during client meetings and presentations.


Contract Bidding and Negotiation:

  • Lead the contract bidding process, preparing, and submitting competitive bids for projects
  • Conduct negotiations to secure contracts, ensuring terms are favorable to the company while meeting the expectations of clients.


Networking and Industry Engagement:

  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company's visibility and establish partnerships, specifically focusing on opportunities for contract bidding.


Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, client acquisition, revenue growth, and successful contract bidding.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into market dynamics, client feedback, and areas for improvement.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and inspire the product sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve collective goals in sales and successful contract bidding.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the product sales department.


Customer Feedback and Satisfaction:

  • Gather customer feedback on services and contract bidding processes, incorporating insights for continuous improvement
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage
  • Work Experience: 8 years and above.
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on sales, marketing, or engineering management can provide advanced skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the Oil and Gas/Engineering/Maritime industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Technical knowledge of engineering products, applications, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as may be required.


Remuneration: NGN 1,000,000
