Job Summary

Farm manager is an administrative leaders who work on a farm and manage operations. The candidate are responsible for ensuring success and efficiency in daily activities involving all aspects of farm from livestock to crops and equipment. he or she must be skilled professionals with education and experience in agriculture.

• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

• Livestock (animals) management.
• Crop production
• Mixed (animals and crops) farming
• Planning the running of the farm
• Keeping records of livestock and/or crops and financial records
• Doing practical work such as looking after livestock, spreading fertilizer and harvesting crop
• Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters
• Maintain and monitor the quality of yield, whether livestock or crops
• Understand the implications of the weather and make contingency plans
• Make sure products are ready for deadlines, such as auctions and markets
• Ensure that farm activities comply with government regulations
• Monitor animal health and welfare, including liaising with vets
• Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
• Apply health and safety standards across the farm estate
• keep financial records up to date
