ABOUT THE FORGE BOOTCAMP
The Forge Bootcamp is a high-end, purpose-driven, onsite leadership and skills development program designed for secondary school students and recent graduates. Over two intensive weeks, participants will be immersed in leadership formation, personal purpose discovery, future-ready technical skills, and team-based games that sharpen cognitive, social, and kinesthetic abilities.
The program blends general leadership sessions, elective skill tracks, expert-led workshops, and reflection experiences, ensuring holistic transformation.
The Forge Bootcamp is structured as a day program to remain affordable for middle-class families, with an optional boarding and lodging add-on available only on request.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a volunteer hybrid role for people based in Port Harcourt. As a volunteer, you will work with the team remotely from April to July. Then, you will work onsite during the program in August.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Proven ability to manage and grow social media pages across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging captions and campaign messages
Good understanding of content planning, including calendars, themes, and audience alignment
Experience creating and publishing content in different formats such as posts, carousels, and short videos
Ability to track performance using platform insights and adjust content based on results
Familiarity with scheduling and management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer
Ability to respond to messages, comments, and community interactions in a timely and professional manner
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within set timelines
Passion for community-driven initiatives and creating long-term social impact
B. GRAPHICS DESIGNER
Strong proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva
Ability to create clean, well-structured visual designs for digital and print materials
Good understanding of layout, typography, colour use, and visual hierarchy
Experience designing for social media, event materials, and brand campaigns
Ability to interpret briefs and translate ideas into clear visual concepts
Attention to detail and consistency across all design outputs
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Interest in youth development, education, and impact-driven initiatives
C. VIDEOGRAPHER (VIDEO SHOOTING, VIDEO EDITING, AND VIDEO CREATION)
Proficiency in video shooting using DSLR cameras or high-quality mobile devices
Strong video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut
Good understanding of lighting, framing, sound, and storytelling techniques
Ability to produce engaging short-form and long-form video content
Experience covering live events, interviews, and documentary-style content
Ability to work under pressure and capture key moments in fast-paced settings
Basic motion graphics or animation skills is an added advantage
Strong organisational skills in managing footage and meeting delivery timelines
Interest in storytelling that drives social impact and community engagement
