Our client, a downstream oil & gas firm, is looking to hire a Trading Operations Specialist with experience working with Customs, Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and other relevant agencies involved in clearing goods (imports)


ROLE OVERVIEW

• Daily reporting of trade activities across all product lines

• Daily price surveys covering PMS, AGO, and LPG

• Supporting expanded local and international trade roles and activities

• Excel-based tracking, reconciliation, and periodic reviews

• Executing, settling, and reconciling trades on a daily basis

• Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports for compliance and management purposes

• Identifying discrepancies, investigating trade breaks, and escalating issues appropriately

• Supporting system upgrades, process testing, and efficiency improvement initiatives

 

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics

• Professional certifications will be an added advantage

 

Experience

• 3–5 years in trade operations, settlements, or reporting roles

• Demonstrated exposure to financial markets, instruments and trading processes

• Hands-on experience with import documentation and customs clearance processes

 

Skills

• Proficiency in trade management platforms

• Strong command of Excel, Tableau and data visualisation tools

• Sound understanding of compliance frameworks

• Ability to ensure accurate transaction reporting and maintain audit-ready documentation


Salary: NGN500,000 net

Location: VI, Lagos
