NewsDirect Media Group is currently in search of a Head of Operations (HOP) who will assume responsibility for the company's operations, serving as the cornerstone for execution, coordination, and internal leadership. The HOP will report directly to the GMD and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business with a focus on fostering operational efficiency, accountability, and sustainable growth.

This position calls for a proactive and seasoned operations expert to oversee and manage all aspects of operations at NewsDirect. The HOP will act as the key implementer of the company’s strategic vision. This role involves supervising each department, approving internal decisions, and representing the Chairman in executive matters. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing operational excellence and opportunities and guiding the company toward greater efficiency and increased profitability.

Remuneration: #300,000, Hybrid (3x onsite)

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive Leadership & Oversight

• Assume full responsibility for overseeing daily operations across all departments, ensuring that the organization runs effectively and efficiently.

• Lead and cultivate a culture of discipline, high performance, and strategic alignment throughout the organization, motivating teams to achieve both short-term objectives and long-term goals.


2. Strategic and Operational Execution

• Work closely with the GMD to translate the overarching vision into actionable operational plans and deliverables, aligning departmental goals with the company's strategic objectives.  

• Spearhead the execution of these plans across all departments, ensuring cohesion and synergy to optimize resources and drive growth, while regularly assessing progress and making adjustments as necessary.


3. Departmental Management

• Oversee the essential functions of various departments and oversee administrative functions to support corporate needs and enhance operational efficiency.

• Independently oversee the delivery of a minimum of 15 high-quality editions within a three-month timeframe. This includes setting clear performance milestones, monitoring progress, and implementing timely interventions to address any challenges that arise during the production cycle.


4. Inter-Office Operations

• Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between the Operational HQ, Corporate HQ and branch offices by regularly shuttling between locations ensuring that operational standards and company culture are upheld across all locations.

• Sustain clear and effective internal reporting processes to keep all stakeholders informed about project statuses and operational developments. Additionally, serve as the company’s representative in external communications, ensuring the brand's values and strategies are effectively articulated to clients, partners, and the public.
