Our client is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Special Needs Teachers to support children with diverse learning, developmental, behavioral, and communication needs.

The ideal candidates will be responsible for creating individualized learning experiences, implementing educational interventions, and fostering an inclusive environment that promotes the growth, independence, and well-being of every child.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to students' unique needs and abilities.
  • Deliver engaging lessons using appropriate teaching strategies and instructional materials.
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language delays, and other developmental challenges.
  • Adapt curriculum content and classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and document students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progress.
  • Implement behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, parents, and other professionals involved in student care.
  • Maintain accurate student records, reports, and progress documentation.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage the development of communication, social interaction, self-help, and independent living skills.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reviews.
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Support school-wide activities and contribute positively to the overall school community.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of NCE, HND, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience working with children with special needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and individualised learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for record keeping and reporting.

Benefits

Base pay is NGN100,000 monthly net + other benefits
