We are seeking a driven, strategic, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing Consulting and Recruitment firm. In this fully remote role, you will be the engine of our growth — identifying new business opportunities, forging strong client relationships, and building the systems and processes that allow us to scale sustainably. This is a senior-level position with direct impact on revenue, brand, and the long-term trajectory of the business.

Key Responsibilities

CLIENT ACQUISITION & REVENUE GROWTH

▸Proactively identify, target, and win new clients across industries in need of consulting and recruitment services.

▸Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring consistent follow-up and deal progression.

▸Develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and service packages tailored to client needs.

▸Negotiate and close commercial contracts, retainers, and service agreements with senior decision-makers.

▸Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets set by the executive team.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS & SCALABLE GROWTH

▸Design, implement, and continuously improve business development processes, workflows, and playbooks.

▸Establish KPIs and metrics frameworks to track pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue performance.

▸Introduce and manage tools (CRM, automation platforms, lead-generation software) to drive efficiency at scale.

▸Develop go-to-market strategies for new verticals, geographies, or service lines.

▸Build repeatable outreach frameworks, including email sequences, LinkedIn campaigns, and referral programmes.

PARTNERSHIP & NETWORK DEVELOPMENT

▸Cultivate and grow a strategic network of partners, referrers, and industry contacts globally.

▸Represent the firm at virtual events, webinars, and industry conferences to increase brand visibility.

▸Explore and negotiate strategic alliances and co-selling opportunities with complementary businesses.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

▸Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term retention.

▸Coordinate with delivery and recruitment teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service excellence.

▸Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

REPORTING & STRATEGY

▸Produce weekly and monthly revenue reports, forecasts, and business development updates for leadership.

▸Contribute to annual business planning and commercial strategy development.

▸Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client sentiment to inform positioning and pricing.

Experience

Requirements & Qualifications

▸Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial growth — ideally within a consulting, staffing, or professional services firm.

▸Demonstrated track record of personally closing deals and consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets.

▸Experience building and managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract signature.

▸Prior experience in a remote or distributed work environment.

Skills & Competencies

▸Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills — able to engage C-suite stakeholders with confidence.

▸Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure, price, and sell service-based solutions.

▸Analytical mindset — comfortable using data and metrics to make informed decisions and course-correct quickly.

▸Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and digital outreach tools.

▸Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

▸Strategic thinker who can operate both at the big-picture level and execute tactically.

EDUCATION

▸Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline (required).

▸MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
