Oxford Policy Management is seeking an IT Specialist on a fixed-term basis of 4 years, contingent on the successful outcome of a bid for an upcoming project.

The position would be located in Nigeria.

Position Summary

  • Assess existing financial applications, ICT infrastructure, and system architectures to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership in the management, maintenance, and optimization of financial management applications and related systems.
  • Support the design, implementation, integration, and enhancement of financial information systems and digital platforms.
  • Review system performance, security, data integrity, and business continuity arrangements for financial applications.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support the development of ICT strategies, system improvement plans, and digital transformation initiatives related to financial management.
  • Advise on system interoperability, data governance, cybersecurity, and technology best practices.
  • Conduct technical assessments and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, software vendors, and project teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of ICT solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, system assessments, presentations, and other project deliverables.
  • Provide technical input to capacity-building activities, user training, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ICT standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Behaviours

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in ICT, information systems, or technology management.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial application management, implementation, administration, or support.
  • Proven experience working with financial management systems, enterprise applications, or digital finance platforms.
  • Experience supporting public sector, financial sector, or development programme ICT initiatives is desirable.
