Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop maintenance plans and schedules for agricultural equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure timely inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities during off-peak periods to minimize disruptions.
- Equipment Inspection and Diagnosis:
- Conduct regular inspections of agricultural equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs, wear and tear, and potential issues.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Maintenance Team Management:
- Lead and supervise maintenance teams, including technicians, mechanics, and maintenance personnel, to ensure efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Repair and Troubleshooting:
- Coordinate and oversee repair activities, including troubleshooting, parts replacement, and equipment adjustments, to restore equipment to operational condition.
- Ensure repairs are completed promptly and according to safety and quality standards.
- Preventive Maintenance Programs:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify and address potential equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Schedule routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter changes, and calibration, to extend equipment lifespan and optimize performance.
- Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for equipment maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure availability of necessary parts and materials.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and protocols in all maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety training for maintenance personnel to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, downtime, and reliability metrics.
