The Maintenance Manager in the cashew factory , you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair activities of agricultural equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Your role will involve managing maintenance schedules, coordinating maintenance teams, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop maintenance plans and schedules for agricultural equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure timely inspections, servicing, and repairs.
    • Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities during off-peak periods to minimize disruptions.
  • Equipment Inspection and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct regular inspections of agricultural equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs, wear and tear, and potential issues.
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
  • Maintenance Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise maintenance teams, including technicians, mechanics, and maintenance personnel, to ensure efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
    • Provide training, guidance, and support to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting:
    • Coordinate and oversee repair activities, including troubleshooting, parts replacement, and equipment adjustments, to restore equipment to operational condition.
    • Ensure repairs are completed promptly and according to safety and quality standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance Programs:
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify and address potential equipment failures and minimize downtime.
    • Schedule routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter changes, and calibration, to extend equipment lifespan and optimize performance.
  • Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
    • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for equipment maintenance and repair activities.
    • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure availability of necessary parts and materials.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and protocols in all maintenance activities.
    • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety training for maintenance personnel to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
    • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, downtime, and reliability metrics.
