Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Chinese dishes as per menu standards.
  • Specialized expertise in Dim Sum preparation (steamed, fried, baked varieties).
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
  • Develop and suggest new menu items and seasonal specialties.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor food quality and minimize wastage.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Ensure timely preparation and service during peak hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Indian & Chinese cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of authentic spices, sauces, and cooking techniques.
  • Expertise in Dim Sum, wok cooking, gravies, tandoor (if applicable), and appetizers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team player with good communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a reputed restaurant/hotel.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an added advantage.
