Procurement Analyst
Job Objectives
- Support the procurement unit in daily activities of the department, ensure accurate data collation, analysis and reporting and contribute to efficient procurement operations.
Department: Procurement
Office: GDNL Terminal ‘E’ Building Apapa Port Complex, Apapa Wharf, Lagos-Nigeria.
Reports to: Procurement Lead
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain procurement documentation, accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Assist in RFQ/RFP preparation, bid evaluation and vendor performance monitoring
- Track PR-PO cycle time and collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify specifications and requirements.
- Prepare periodic procurement reports including spend analysis, supplier performance dashboards and KPI.
- Collate and analyse procurement data for reporting and decision -making
- Ensure compliance to procurement policies, SOPs and audit requirements
- Support contract management activities including documentation and renewals.
- Provide analytical support to improve procurement processes and perform any other duties that may be assigned.
- Technical: Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and standard ERP systems (SuccessFactors, & MS-Dynamics).
- Analytical: Strong capability in data interpretation, spend analysis, and dashboard creation.
- Behavioural: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and a high level of integrity.
- B.Sc. / HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- Membership or progression in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CISCM is an added advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in a data-driven procurement or supply chain role (experience in maritime, logistics, or heavy industry is a plus).
