Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, disciplined, and experienced Driver to support the daily transportation needs of our healthcare/medical organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of staff, patients (where applicable), medical items, documents, and other official assignments.
The role requires strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, excellent driving skills, professionalism, and high levels of integrity due to the sensitive nature of healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff, management, patients (if required), and official guests to assigned destinations
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off for scheduled appointments and operations
- Transport medical documents, samples, equipment, and supplies as required
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior) at all times
- Conduct routine inspection of vehicle before and after trips
- Report any mechanical faults, servicing needs, or accidents promptly
- Ensure proper maintenance schedule is followed for assigned vehicles
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, hospital policies, and safety regulations
- Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and mileage logs
- Maintain confidentiality of all information encountered during duties
- Support logistics and dispatch duties when required by management
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Compulsory)
- Minimum of 4 years proven driving experience, preferably in a corporate or healthcare environment
- Good knowledge of Lagos routes and traffic patterns
- Defensive driving skills and strong safety awareness
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is an advantage
- Good communication skills and professional appearance
