About the Role
ExcelMindCyber is seeking an experienced Cold Calling Team Lead to oversee and support a team of outbound sales representatives in our Lagos calling center. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring the successful candidate to actively participate in outbound calling activities while driving team performance, coaching agents, and ensuring the achievement of daily outreach and appointment-setting targets.
The ideal candidate is a proven outbound sales professional with leadership experience who can lead by example in a high-performance environment and consistently drive results both individually and through their team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, coach, and supervise a team of four (4) Cold Callers.
Monitor daily dialing activity and appointment-setting performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and call audits.
Ensure adherence to approved scripts, processes, and quality standards.
Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the team.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new agents.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to management.
Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve team results.
Individual Sales & Appointment Setting
Actively conduct outbound cold calls alongside the team.
Generate qualified appointments through outbound prospecting efforts.
Handle objections professionally and effectively.
Maintain accurate records of call activities and outcomes in the CRM.
Lead by example by consistently achieving individual performance targets.
Contribute directly to revenue generation through appointments that convert into closed deals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Team KPIs
Drive achievement of the team's combined target of 2,000 outbound dials per day.
Ensure each team member achieves a minimum of 500 outbound dials per day.
Ensure each team member books a minimum of 5 qualified appointments per day.
Maintain high standards of call quality, CRM accuracy, and reporting compliance.
Team Lead Individual KPIs
Minimum of 300–400 outbound dials per day while managing the team.
Minimum of 3–5 qualified appointments booked per day.
Consistent contribution to closed deals and revenue generation.
Maintain high-quality call standards and accurate CRM documentation.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in outbound sales, telesales, call center operations, or appointment setting.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising a sales or call center team.
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding high-volume outbound sales targets.
Preferred Industry Background
Candidates should ideally come from one or more of the following industries:
Telecommunications (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile, etc.)
Insurance
Consumer subscription businesses (e.g., MultiChoice/DSTV)

Availability
Must be willing to work onsite from the Lagos office.
Must be available to work US Central Time (CST) hours (night shift).
Compensation & Benefits
₦400,000 Net Monthly Salary.
1% Commission on Closed Deals.
