EQUIP-HWCs is a multi-site implementation research and a National Health Priority Project funded by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) and Gates Foundation. One of the sites in which this is being conducted is Salumber district, Rajasthan, in collaboration with district health department. This implementation research project focuses on developing a successful model to deliver 12 comprehensive primary healthcare (CPHC) services through the public health system across all health and wellness centres by emphasizing quality, equity and core values. This project is being undertaken by the Centre for Healthcare at IIM Udaipur in collaboration with Basic Healthcare Services.

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to both research and implementation by leading activities such as data analysis, manuscript preparation, and presentations, while also engaging in the co-creation of an implementable model Health and Wellness Centre (HWC). The role further involves work on service delivery optimization, development of innovative care models, and health economic evaluations aimed at improving the efficiency, equity, and quality of care delivered through AAMs.

Qualifications

PhD in Public Health or Health Policy. Candidates with prior research and publication experience preferred.

Essential attributes

  • The candidate will be working out of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur campus with the PI and co-PI. The project implementation area is Salumber district, Rajasthan. The selected candidate will have be required to undertake frequent travel to Salumber district as part of their project responsibilities.
  • Good command over English and Hindi languages.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with hands-on knowledge of various tools such as R/ STATA/ other statistical software and Nvivo/ QDA Miner/ other qualitative coding software.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on research independently

Desired attributes

  • Candidate with experience in intervention/ implementation research/ health systems research in tribal areas is preferred.
  • Both quantitative and qualitative research experience
  • Excellent written and communications skills, interpersonal skills, organizational and networking skills.

Consolidated remuneration per month

Up to Rs 1,05,000 depending on the relevant years of experience

The job contract will be for a period of 24 months or till the end of the project duration, whichever is earlier.
