Project Overview:
We are scaling an AI-driven "Auto-Apply" system that submits job applications on behalf of students. Our current system is facing high failure rates (68%) and account shadow-banning due to sophisticated bot detection on sites like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Greenhouse. We need an expert to rebuild our execution engine for maximum stealth and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Stealth Engine Development: Architect and implement a browser automation layer (Playwright/Puppeteer) using stealth plugins and fingerprint randomization to bypass CAPTCHAs and behavioral analysis.
Browser Extension MVP: Develop a lightweight Chrome Extension that leverages residential user sessions for authenticated job submissions.
Form Handling Optimization: Map and automate complex multi-page application forms, ensuring 95%+ field accuracy.
Proxy Orchestration: Manage residential proxy rotation to ensure high-velocity submissions don't trigger IP-based blocks.
Expertise Required:
Automation Frameworks: 5+ years with Playwright (preferred) or Puppeteer.
Stealth Mechanics: Proven experience with playwright-stealth, fingerprinting, and header manipulation.
Extension Development: Experience building Chrome Extensions that interact with DOM and manage background worker tasks.
Problem Solving: Ability to reverse-engineer form validation and "invisible" anti-bot measures.
Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)
For the contract to be considered complete at the end of Day 7, the following must be met:
Stealth Verification: The automation engine must bypass "Cloudflare Turnstile" and basic LinkedIn bot detection in 100 consecutive automated test runs without triggering a CAPTCHA.
Success Rate Lift: The application submission success rate must improve from the current 32% to 80%+ for the top 5 job platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday).
Extension MVP: A functioning Chrome Extension that can:
Inject our AI-generated resume/data into a live job application form.
Allow a "Semi-Auto" hand-off for MFA or custom OTP fields.
Logging & Error Handling: Implementation of a standardized error-log system that identifies exactly why a form failed (e.g., "Missing field X," "Selector changed," "IP Blocked").
Stealth Score: A "Human-Likeness" score of >90 on common browser fingerprinting tests (like CreepJS or Pixelscan).
