Role: Electrical/ Solar Engineer
Location: Ibadan, Nigeria
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar/Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electrical installations. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality renewable energy and electrical solutions that meet industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop solar PV and electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Conduct site surveys, load assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare technical drawings, system layouts, and project documentation.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar and electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and project reports.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in solar PV and electrical system design and installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, site assessment, etc
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical distribution systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other relevant engineering software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to prepare technical reports & supervise field activities is needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
