Visa Consultant / Agent
Univacity
Remote
Univacity Ltd is looking for an experienced Visa Consultant/Immigration Agent to manage and process visa applications across multiple categories — student, travel, tourism, business, and work visas. This role requires deep, current knowledge of immigration requirements across several destination countries, meticulous attention to documentation, and the ability to guide clients confidently through often complex and high-stakes processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess client eligibility and advise on the appropriate visa category (student, tourist, business, work, etc.) based on their travel or relocation purpose.
- Guide clients through the full visa application process, including documentation requirements, form completion, and submission procedures.
- Review and verify client documents for accuracy and compliance with destination-country immigration requirements before submission.
- Prepare and submit visa applications to relevant embassies, consulates, or immigration authorities, and track application status through to decision.
- Advise clients on financial documentation, sponsorship letters, invitation letters, and other supporting evidence required for approval.
- Stay current on immigration policy changes, visa regulation updates, and processing timelines across key destination countries.
- Handle complex or high-risk cases (prior refusals, overstays, inadmissibility issues) with appropriate care and realistic guidance.
- Liaise with embassies, consulates, and immigration agencies on behalf of clients where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and documentation logs in line with data protection standards.
- Manage a high volume of cases simultaneously while meeting individual deadlines and processing timelines.
- Collaborate with the counseling and travel teams to ensure visa guidance aligns with each client's broader study, travel, or business plans.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a visa consultant, immigration agent, or in a related immigration advisory role.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully processed visa applications across at least two categories (student, tourist, business, or work).
- Strong working knowledge of immigration requirements and documentation standards for multiple destination countries.
- Relevant training, certification, or accreditation in immigration consulting (e.g., regulated immigration consultant credentials, embassy-recognized training, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong record of accurate, compliant documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of cases without compromising accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Formal immigration consulting certification or membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., ICCRC/CICC, MARA, OISC, or equivalent in your jurisdiction).
- Existing relationships or experience liaising directly with embassies or consulates.
- Experience handling refusals, appeals, or complex case histories.
- Multilingual ability.
- Familiarity with case management or immigration tracking software.
- Knowledge of corporate/work visa sponsorship processes.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and certification level.
- Ongoing professional development and support for maintaining certifications.
- A meaningful role directly shaping clients' international opportunities.
- Collaborative, detail-driven team culture.
- Hybrid working arrangements.
