Job Summary
The Delivery Officer (Dispatch Rider) is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient pickup and delivery of packages across Lagos State. The role requires strong knowledge of Lagos routes, excellent time management, strict adherence to road safety regulations, and a high level of professionalism in customer interactions.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, secure, and prompt last-mile delivery services while maintaining the integrity of all assigned items and representing the organization professionally at all delivery points.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Logistics Operations
- Pick up and deliver packages to assigned locations across Lagos.
- Ensure proper verification of items before dispatch.
- Deliver packages safely, securely, and within agreed timelines.
- Handle all items with care to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement.
- Maintain a professional image when interacting with customers and vendors.
- Communicate politely and effectively at all delivery points.
- Verify recipient details before releasing any package.
- Obtain proof of delivery (signature, photo confirmation, or digital acknowledgment).
- Use GPS and navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes.
- Navigate Lagos traffic effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adjust routes based on real-time traffic conditions and delays.
- Ensure assigned motorcycle is clean, roadworthy, and in good working condition.
- Conduct routine checks before and after daily operations.
- Report mechanical faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Submit daily reports to the Operations team.
- Report delivery delays, failed deliveries, or incidents immediately.

Education
- Minimum of ND, SSCE
- Valid Rider's Permit
- Valid Driver's License (mandatory)
- 2–4 years' experience as a dispatch rider, courier officer, or delivery personnel
- Experience in customer-facing logistics roles is an added advantage
