Job Description

The candidate will support Relationship Managers in delivering client-focused solutions, while also engaging internal teams to drive product awareness, sales effectiveness, and seamless client execution. The role provides exposure to the full value chain of Corporate and Investment Banking, supporting both client retention and new business origination.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Client Coverage & Business Support

  • Support Relationship Managers in managing client portfolios, including preparation of client briefs, reports, and presentations.
  • Conduct client and sector research, including analysis of financial statements and market trends, to support business development initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying, onboarding, and retaining clients in line with coverage strategy.
  • Maintain and update opportunity tracking tools and pipeline reporting.

Product & Sales Enablement

  • Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g., branch teams, product partners, and contact centre teams where relevant) to understand client needs and drive tailored solutions.
  • Support product awareness initiatives through training, presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions across the business.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of RMB products, processes, and fulfilment requirements to support deal execution.
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets through effective coordination and client support.

Client Experience & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong internal networks across business units to ensure seamless client delivery.
  • Support the coordination of client engagements, ensuring consistency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide insights on client trends and market developments to enhance client conversations and relationship management.

Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, regulatory, and market developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, client service delivery, and sales effectiveness.
  • Support reporting and business reviews with accurate data and insights.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in corporate banking, investment banking, or financial services.
  • Exposure to client coverage, product support, or sales enablement roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and research capability.
  • Good understanding of corporate and investment banking products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
