Fleet Manager

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the company’s fleet vehicles.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with safety regulations, and operating efficiently to support business operations.
  • The successful candidate must possess strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills, with prior experience managing corporate fleets and a solid background in vehicle maintenance and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, servicing, and repairs.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, fueling, insurance, licenses, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with drivers, mechanics.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and implement cost-control measures.
  • Investigate and report vehicle incidents, accidents, or damages.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Track fleet performance and prepare operational reports for management.
  • Ensure proper allocation and utilization of company vehicles.
  • Supervise and evaluate drivers and fleet support personnel where necessary.
  • Recommend fleet replacement and upgrade plans when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, and transportation management.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management systems/software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and vehicle compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
