Job Position: Generator Mechanical Engineer

Job Location: Ogba, Lagos

Summary

• Generator Mechanical Engr is responsible for the mechanical installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators ranging from 20kVA or higher, ensures reliable generator performance, fuel efficiency, and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Service diesel generators (20kVA–500kVA) in line with OEM standards.
• Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on diesel engines.
• Service fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and exhaust systems.
• Overhaul engines, replace worn components, and carry out alignments.
• Support load testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate service records and job reports.
• Comply with HSE standards and company safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.

Requirements

• Trade Test Certificate, OND, or Technical College qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or professional certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with diesel generators (20kVA–500kVA).
• Experience with engines such as Perkins, Cummins, MTU, or similar
• Experience working on industrial, commercial, or power sites.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / mont.
