What Will You Be Doing

The New Business Manager is a pure hunter role, accountable for winning new logos and driving net-new revenue growth for Argus services across West Africa. The role focuses on proactive outbound prospecting, opening new markets, creating demand where none previously existed, and converting target accounts into first-time customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a pipeline of new business opportunities across key West African markets, engaging prospects across multiple stakeholder levels, and building senior-level relationships that lead to commercial success. Success will be measured through activity intensity, pipeline creation, new customer acquisition, and delivery of annual revenue targets.

The position reports to the Head of Sales; Africa and works closely with editorial, business development, marketing teams to accelerate growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target net-new organisations across Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and broader West

Africa.

  • Build robust pipeline and execute outbound prospecting.
  • Drive full sales cycle from first contact to contract execution.
  • Represent Argus in regional events and client meetings.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong hunter mentality and resilience.
  • Experience working in emerging or frontier markets.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability when operating across diverse, fast-evolving West African
  • markets

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in new business or sales roles
  • Proven success in cold outreach and pipeline generation.

Languages

English required; French strongly preferred.

Travel

60–70% travel across West Africa.
