Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking experienced consultants with deep expertise in sub-Saharan Africa to support strategic advisory initiatives within key development sectors. Selected consultants will provide critical insights and facilitate engagement with stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society.
Deliverables
Consultants will be engaged on a short-term basis to conduct targeted assessments, provide strategic guidance, and support stakeholder engagement activities as specified in individual scopes of work.
Only shortlisted individuals will be added to the consultant roster and contacted for upcoming assignments.
Qualifications
Sector Expertise
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following sectors: health systems, public finance and resource mobilization, education policy and implementation, or trade and economic development. Candidates should possess nuanced understanding of sector-specific challenges, opportunities, and reform priorities within the national context.
- Established relationships with key decision-makers, technical leads, and influencers across government ministries, regulatory bodies, development partners, and implementing organizations. Ability to facilitate high-level engagement and navigate institutional landscapes.
- Minimum 7-10 years professional experience working within sub-Saharan Africa, with proven track record of advising on policy development, program implementation, or systems strengthening initiatives. Understanding of current political economy, governance structures, and development priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable strategic recommendations. Experience conducting landscape analyses, stakeholder mapping, and opportunity assessments.
