Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize all aspects of IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.
- Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and resources.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide technical support and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in IT audits, such as ISO and SOC audits.
- Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansions to meet future business requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure in a large corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
- Candidate should have strong hands-on experience managing Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, virtual switches, storage, clustering, backups, and performance monitoring. They should also understand Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, PowerShell automation, patching, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery for virtualized environments.
- Infrastructure & Security certification or relevant experience/knowledge is a requirement.
- Other security certifications—CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, GCIH, OSCP, or related—are an advantage but not required.
- ITIL v4 or ISO27001 experience is an advantage but not required.
- Proficient in server administration, storage management, virtualization technologies, and cloud services (large-scale server infrastructures 500+ servers Windows/Linux).
- Proficient in client OS administration (e.g., Windows/MacOS/Linux), MDM solutions, cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure/AWS/Google), and modern workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft365/Google Workspace).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, infrastructure security, and disaster recovery (multi-site / multi-region topologies with 1000+ network devices).
- Experience with IT service management practices and tools.
- Ability and experience to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, PaloAlto) is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps Infrastructure Automation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work on shifts, including weekend shifts (some shifts may be accommodated to employee preference).
- Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate.
- A valid and up to date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement of this role.
