About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically competent IT / Facility Support Officer to provide first-line IT support while ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the organization's facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting end-users, maintaining IT infrastructure, coordinating facility maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe, secure, and efficient working environment.
The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage both technology and facility-related operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Manage user accounts, email setup, and access permissions.
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity, internet services, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, antivirus management, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to external vendors or senior IT personnel where necessary.
- Coordinate routine maintenance of office and healthcare facilities.
- Monitor the functionality of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other building systems.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure office equipment and facilities remain operational at all times.
- Monitor cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the premises.
- Support compliance with health, safety, and facility management standards.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist in implementing workplace safety procedures and emergency response plans.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance schedules and vendor activities.
- Maintain records of IT assets, maintenance activities, and service requests.
- Prepare periodic reports on IT performance and facility maintenance.
- Support office setup, relocations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, CCNA, or related certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in IT Support, Facilities Management, or a similar role.
- Experience working within a healthcare or corporate environment is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems, networking, and office infrastructure.
