Accountant
Cross Beverage Company Limited
- Cross Beverage Nigeria Limited is seeking a Junior Accountant to lead and optimize our financial operations.
- In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and accounting standards while driving the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures that support business growth.
- You’ll oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide regular insights on financial performance and key risks to the senior leadership team.
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a critical role in guiding the company’s financial strategy, optimizing profitability, and ensuring the accuracy and transparency of our financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Financial Management and Operations:
- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage detailed budgets and forecasts, collaborating with key departments to ensure production targets and financial objectives are met.
- Monitor and analyze production costs to identify inefficiencies and maximize profitability, providing actionable insights to optimize operations.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and employee reimbursements, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations, closely monitor cash flow, and maintain an up-to-date record of daily financial transactions to ensure accurate reporting.
- Provide financial expertise and oversight in procurement and expense management, conducting rigorous financial checks to ensure compliance and preserve the integrity of financial data.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and financial laws, staying up-to-date on changes to maintain the company’s legal and financial standing.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and promote operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, maintaining transparency and accuracy in financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Provide regular, detailed updates on financial performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Report directly to the Managing Director, delivering concise and insightful financial reports to guide executive-level decisions.
Requirement and Qualifications
- HND in Accounting, finance or related fields.
- 1-3 Years of Relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software e.g. QuickBooks. Sage. ERP systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
