In this role, you will perform hands-on service tasks in our Lagos workshop and in the field. You will identify and analyze technical issues remotely or on site across all service categories, including installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements. Reporting to the Country Managing Director, you will help ensure customer satisfaction by delivering service work in line with customer orders and expectations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Field service work / Workshop repairs: attend site and perform field work, i.e.. breakdowns, preventative maintenance, install and commissioning. Workshop tasks: dismantling, assembly, cleaning of parts and using of precision equipment and machinery and apply safety and health rules and taking into consideration the actual site conditions.
  • Planning/Coordination: preparation and control of all material, equipment and documentation needed for site activities and organized them in accordance with contractual and supplement documentation.
  • Repair: Conducts detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and reports. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and recommends changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to document work orders, manage inventory, and coordinate field service activities
  • Customer regulation: obtaining certain passes or attending classes for commencing of works.

Your Background

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • Sound knowledge in reading technical drawings and measuring instruments, Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experienced in dealing with customer with different background, handling service jobs with high safety and quality standards.
  • Working in difficult environment (temperature, noise, dirt)
  • Willingness to travel to client locations for on-site support and to work irregular hours as needed.
