In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing integrated marketing programmes that drive commercial growth while strengthening Argus’ brand presence in a highly mature and competitive market. The role focuses on elevating client awareness of product value, use cases, and differentiation, translating these into measurable pipeline and revenue impact.

This position will own West African-specific marketing strategy and delivery, ensuring programmes are locally relevant, insight-led, and aligned with broader regional and global priorities. It requires a strong understanding of West African business landscape, customer expectations, and cultural nuances to effectively engage target audiences across segments.

The role demands a commercially minded leader who can influence senior stakeholders, navigate a matrixed organisation, and continuously optimise outcomes across customer acquisition, retention, and long-term brand equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own execution of regional marketing campaigns aligned to commercial priorities. Localise global and regional messaging to ensure relevance to the Japan market, working closely with editorial teams to maintain content quality and market accuracy.
  • Manage delivery across channels: email, digital, paid media, and social. Monitor performance and optimise campaigns based on data insights
  • Lead delivery of regional events (forums, roundtables, networking events)
  • Coordinate event campaigns, delegate marketing, and onsite execution. Capture post-event insights, feedback, and success stories.
  • Proactively develop relationships with reputable industry bodies and media to expand market reach and support sustained demand generation.
  • Partner closely with local sales and business development teams to ensure full alignment with commercial priorities, key accounts, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve targeting and performance. Feedback regional market intelligence to marketing and product teams.

Experience

  • 5–7+ years in B2B marketing within commodities and energy sector
  • Proven experience in demand generation and campaign execution
  • Bachelor degree preferably in marketing
  • Very strong written communication and analytical skills
  • Experience working with Sales teams on pipeline generation
  • Strong exposure to events and client engagement.

Skills

  • Strong campaign execution and project management skills
  • Data-driven mindset (campaign optimisation, reporting, analytics)
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including marketing automation systems such as Marketo or equivalent.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • French language proficiency is required
