Job Summary

  • To oversee the entire irrigation system, ensuring efficient and effective water delivery to plants.
  • To lead a team of Drip irrigation workers and collaborate with other agricultural professionals to optimize crop production and water usage.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise the system installation, operation and maintenance of the drip irrigation systems.
  • Develop and implement irrigation schedules based on crop needs, weather conditions, water availability, ensuring water conservation and also conducting soil assessments.
  • Oversee and train irrigation workers, providing training and guidance on best practices.
  • Track water usage and maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and system maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water usage and irrigation practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of drip irrigation equipment, including pumps, valves, filters etc.
  • Collect and analyze irrigation data to assess system performance and make improvements.

Educational Qualification And Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any science related field
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience
  • Technical knowledge of operations and maintenance
