We step in to clean up the data and reconfigure the systems so finance teams can finally trust their numbers again. As we integrate AI tools into these reporting environments, we need an AI Testing Assistant to help us ensure these new tools are reliable and accurate.
This is a part time, contract position that is entirely remote. You will work from your own location to test the outputs of our AI models and help us document how they handle complex financial tasks. We are not interested in flash or hype. Our focus is on creating a single source of truth for our clients, and your work will be essential in making sure our AI implementations live up to that standard. The pay for this role is competitive for entry level consulting support and reflects the high value we place on accurate documentation and testing.
What you will be doing
- Interacting with AI models to test their responses to common financial reporting questions and documenting where they succeed or fail.
- Comparing AI generated summaries against source financial documents to verify that all figures and calculations are 100 percent accurate.
- Identifying and logging bias or errors in how the AI interprets complex accounting rules or tax regulations.
- Helping to build and maintain configuration guides that explain how the AI has been set up for specific client needs.
- Updating internal testing logs to track the progress of software fixes and model improvements over time.
- Collaborating with our senior consultants to understand the specific requirements of an Oracle or SAP implementation so you can test relevant scenarios.
- Assisting with the final handover process by verifying that all instructional materials for the client are clear and technically correct.
- Reviewing datasets to ensure they are clean and formatted correctly before they are used to train or prompt the AI tools.
- A high level of comfort with technology and a willingness to learn how enterprise performance management systems function.
- A cautious and skeptical approach to AI outputs, you should be the person who naturally double checks the math.
- Clear writing skills that allow you to describe technical bugs or logical errors without using jargon or fluff.
- Strong organizational habits, as you will be responsible for keeping testing logs up to date across multiple projects.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheet software like Excel, especially how to compare two sets of numbers for discrepancies.
- An interest in finance, accounting, or business operations, as these are the primary areas where our clients work.
- The ability to follow detailed testing scripts while also noticing when something just does not look right.
- A reliable work ethic that allows you to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment.
