AI Fact-Checking Assistant
Gulf Associates
Remote
Gulf Associates provides advisory services that prioritize commercial judgment over theoretical reporting. Because our work often involves checking the backgrounds of counterparties and understanding the logic of complex partnerships, the information we use must be bulletproof. You will be responsible for reviewing materials to ensure that every claim is supported by original source data and that no errors have been introduced through the use of external research models. This position is paid, and we offer a rate that is competitive for this level of responsibility and the current market.
What you will do
- Reviewing research summaries generated by AI tools to identify factual errors or logic gaps.
- Verifying names, dates, and entity structures against public records and official registries.
- Cross-referencing commercial data with original source documents to confirm accuracy.
- Assisting the partners by cleaning up research notes and ensuring all citations are correct.
- Identifying instances where automated tools have misinterpreted regulatory filings or commercial links.
- Updating internal tracking documents with confirmed information regarding counterparty behavior.
- Helping to maintain a library of verified data that can be used for future scenario work.
- Flagging inconsistencies in draft reports before they are reviewed by senior decision-makers.
- A high level of attention to detail: you are the type of person who notices small errors in numbers or spelling.
- A natural skepticism of unverified data and a commitment to finding the ground truth.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to follow complex commercial relationships.
- Clear and direct writing skills: you can explain a correction without using unnecessary jargon.
- Comfort using various digital research tools and interfaces to gather and check information.
- Commercial curiosity regarding how capital moves and how entities operate within the market.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote capacity while meeting project deadlines.
- A background in business, law, or the humanities is helpful for understanding the context of our work.
- Flexible working hours that can easily be managed alongside other commitments or studies.
- The ability to work from any location with a stable internet connection in this fully remote role.
- Practical exposure to the reality of high-level commercial advisory and risk assessment.
- Direct experience seeing how senior partners prepare for negotiations and regulator conversations.
- A professional environment where your thoroughness is valued over the volume of your work.
Gulf Associates operates with a specific focus on outcomes rather than just output. While many firms rely on generic models and distant head-office views, we focus on the ground reality of the territory. We work with sovereign entities and family groups on high-stakes decisions where state capital often sits inside private deals. Our culture is direct and honest: we value commercial judgment and work that can actually be acted upon by a client. Managing a small book of active engagements allows our partners to stay involved in every detail, and we expect the same level of commitment to accuracy from every member of the team. We are comfortable being measured on the results that follow our advice, and we expect our research to be the solid foundation for those results.
