Job Title: Contract Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hybrid
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Reporting To: Project Manager / Head of Projects
Role Overview
We are currently seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor who can operate on flexible, call-out terms on an ongoing basis.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure cost-efficiency and value delivery.
Contract Details:
- This is a fixed-term, call-out position.
- The initial contract starts at a duration of 3 months.
- The contract is renewable based on project duration and individual performance.
- Engagement will be on an as-needed (call-out) basis, depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for interior design and fit-out projects
- Analyze drawings and specifications to provide detailed bills of quantities (BOQs)
- Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Evaluate and process variations and change orders
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Ensure all financial and contractual aspects are properly managed
- Conduct site visits to assess work progress against budgets
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure alignment on scope and cost
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the interior design/architectural space / Fit-out
- Strong knowledge of construction and interior finishing materials
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
