Job Title: Contract Quantity Surveyor

Reporting To: Project Manager / Head of Projects

Role Overview

We are currently seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor who can operate on flexible, call-out terms on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure cost-efficiency and value delivery.

Contract Details:

  • This is a fixed-term, call-out position.
  • The initial contract starts at a duration of 3 months.
  • The contract is renewable based on project duration and individual performance.
  • Engagement will be on an as-needed (call-out) basis, depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for interior design and fit-out projects
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to provide detailed bills of quantities (BOQs)
  • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Evaluate and process variations and change orders
  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
  • Ensure all financial and contractual aspects are properly managed
  • Conduct site visits to assess work progress against budgets
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure alignment on scope and cost

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the interior design/architectural space / Fit-out
  • Strong knowledge of construction and interior finishing materials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
